Brian Scott resides in the Hannan District of Mason County with his wife, Jessy, and their two daughters. He is a teacher, coach, and advocate for citizens in West Virginia. He has a passion for service, and is excited for the opportunity to serve the people of the 14th.
Brian attended WVSU where he played college football as well as obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. He was also honored to be invited to join the National Political Science Honor Society, Pi Sigma Alpha. Brian then was accepted to and completed the Advanced Certification for Teaching program, where he then successfully passed all certification requirements for Social Studies, English, Physical Education, and Health education. Brian is now currently enrolled and working towards his Masters Degree in Sports Management.
Brian has served as an education liaison in the legislature. He has also closely followed legislative sessions for many years, as this process is a passion of his. He has prepared and studied at length to what can be done to best serve the people of WV, especially in the 14th District.
Brian has been a classroom teacher for over 10 years. He has worked in numerous Mason County schools, and has seen firsthand the various needs of our students and their families. Brian has also served as a Varsity Football Coach, where he has had a positive impact for athletes both on, and off, the field.
In Brian’s free time, he enjoys competing in Olympic Style Weightlifting events, and serving at his church where he teaches elementary age students in a Sunday School class. He is fascinated by history and enjoys traveling to local (and not so local) historical landmarks and homesteads. He loves our beautiful state and is excited to serve as a Delegate for the 14th District.
